Abstract
The development of increasingly effective therapies to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma that result cured in most of the patients (50%). A 32-year old female presented with accidental nodular opacities on chest x-ray She was initially treated as an upper respiratory tract infection. However; due to persistent symptoms and hypoxia; a chest x-ray was done which showed diffuse bilateral . This was followed by a chest CT scan which showed numerous multiple masses throughout the lung fields bilaterally ranging in size from 5-25 mm. The nodules had classical appearance of cannon-balls seen often in secondary metastatic neoplasms to the lung. However; biopsy showed diffuse large Bcell lymphoma with a proliferation index (Ki-67) of 100% and C-MYC positivity by immunohistochemical stains. She was initially treated with R-CHOP chemotherapy then was switched to DA-EPOCH-R once the final cytogenetic and molecular report was available. Interim staging showed very good response.
