  • does not suggest AJBM endorsement, approval, or affiliation; and

  • is not detrimental to AJBM’s or the publisher’s reputation.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. AJBM and the publisher are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Access is at your own risk.

4) Registration & Accounts (if applicable)

  • You must keep registration details accurate and up to date.

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your password.

  • You must not: maintain more than one account per person; impersonate another person; share your password; allow others to use your account; use another person’s account; or re-register if your account is suspended or terminated.

  • We may suspend, terminate, or refuse accounts that breach these Terms or our policies, and we will handle personal data in line with our [Privacy Policy].

  • Site materials (website design, branding, UI text) are © BM Publishers UK Ltd or its licensors and all rights are reserved unless otherwise stated.

  • Journal articles are open access and, unless otherwise noted, are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), allowing sharing and adaptation with proper citation. License: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

  • If a specific article uses a different license, that license prevails for that article.

  • Trade marks, logos, and journal branding may not be used without written permission.

6) Research Integrity & Policy References

AJBM follows the COPE Core Practices and ICMJE Recommendations. Editorial decisions are independent of commercial influence and follow published ethical policies (authorship, COI, peer review, corrections/retractions). See our [Ethics & Policies] page for full details.

7) Availability, Maintenance & Changes

We aim to keep the Site available 24/7, but it may be unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or for reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation.

We may change, update, or withdraw any part of the Site or these Terms at any time. The “Effective date” above will be updated for material changes. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8) Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.”

  • We make no warranties (express or implied) as to accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, quality, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose.

  • We do not warrant that the Site or servers are free of viruses or harmful components. You should use industry-standard anti-malware tools.

12) Revenue Sources & APCs (Transparency)

AJBM is open access. Article Processing Charges (APCs), waivers/discounts, and permitted funding sources are disclosed on our [Open Access & APC] page. Editorial decisions are independent of APC ability to pay.

13) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumers’ mandatory rights in their country of residence (if applicable).
